Major themes for keynote speeches

Good speeches should entertain and inform. Our speeches are based on four themes which all reflect original research:

1. Surviving the jungle: corporate and ancient tribes: this draws on our original research in Papua New Guinea, East Africa (the Likipia) and West Africa (Tuareg near Timbuktu, plus the Dogon, Bamara and Fulani). Surviving without the corporate life support systems and with the possibility of death for mistakes concentrates the mind wonderfully.
2. Mapping the future: in our research we have asked ancient tribes to map their territory. They have clarity, focus and alignment where many corporate tribes have complexity, chaos and confusion.
3. Who wants to follow you? This challenges conventional wisdom about leadership and is based on research with over 700 leaders, including video interviews with 30 of the most senior leaders.
4. The leadership journey. This pulls together all the research that is reflected in the definitive leadership book: How To Lead. It looks at how the rules of success and survival change at each level of the organisation and how leaders can learn to accelerate and continue their leadership journey.

Conference, workshop and offsite meeting management.

We prefer to work on high stakes events where we can make the most difference for you. We focus on outcomes: we are not process bound. As skilled event leaders we deploy a full suite of facilitation skills including, as necessary: synectics, six hats, meta-planning, Chicago rules and more.

In addition we have developed our own proprietary method: Territory Mapping. This came out of our research with ancient and corporate tribes and has proved to be a highly effective way of creating clarity, focus and alignment across an organisation. It has worked with a mixed group of central bank governors, tribal people and hotel workers. The visual mapping process is highly interactive, enjoyable and productive. It rapidly gets to root issues and finds a practical way forward for the teams to follow.
